Understanding User Permissions on the Platform
User permissions allow account administrators to control which team members can access specific functionalities within the platform. This helps maintain operational security, efficiency, and role-based access across organizations.
What are permissions?
Each user must have at least one permission assigned. Permissions define what actions users are allowed to perform and which sections of the platform they can access. A single user can have multiple permissions, depending on their responsibilities.
Types of available permissions
Here’s a breakdown of the permissions that can be assigned to users:
- Counterparties: Allows users to add or edit counterparties (companies or individuals they send or receive payments from).
- Developer: Allows users to generate and manage API keys for platform integrations.
- Money Movement: Grants access to Send Money, Deposit, and Withdraw Crypto functions.
- Team: Enables users to invite new team members and manage existing users on the account.
- Reports: Allows users to download CSV reports.

Managing Users and Access
When adding or editing users on your team, here are a few important things to keep in mind:
- Permissions are optional at the time of invitation: If no permissions are assigned when a user is invited, they will still have access to the platform in view-only mode. This means they can navigate and view all sections, but cannot take any action.
- Flexible permission assignment: You can assign one or multiple permissions to each user based on their role, and update those permissions at any time as responsibilities evolve.
- Editable names: You can include a user’s first and last name for easier identification within your team.
- Fixed email addresses: Once a user is invited, their email address cannot be changed via the platform. To update an email, please contact our support team.
- Search and filter your team: The user management section includes search and filtering tools to help you quickly find team members by name or by their assigned permissions.

Recommendation for Admin Users
Users with the Team permission can invite, manage, or disable other team members. We recommend assigning this permission only to trusted individuals.
Always:
- Review which team members currently have access.
- Make sure only trusted users are granted the Team permission.
- Users who don’t need to manage others can be left without permissions and will have view-only access by default.
